09-27-04- Richmond rocked, the ride home didn't.  We'll get to that in a minute.  First off we need to thank John from The Bottom Line, the staff, and all the killer bands we played with.  Culdera had some killer riffs and killer groves, our friends Soul Liberty  brought it thick and heavy, and Memory Fade debuted a new singer to an eager crowd, with a rocking set.  Over all it was a killer night, that is untill we started to make our way back.  We left about two or so in the morning.  Everything was great till we got just outside the tunnel in Hampton, that's when we got a flat tire.  A flat is usually no big deal when you have a spare, but being the dumbasses that we are, we didn't.  So after the tow truck got there and towed us back to Steve's, it was well into the morning till we got home and got some sleep.  Oh well next time we'll make sure we have two spares just in case.  Other than the tire, it was a killer show and a killer night.  Thanks to everyone who came out to rock with us.  We'll see you all again soon.  Take care and Rock on!!!

09-25-04- We can't say enough nice things about the staff and people who were at Neptunes.  What a fun show.  Our opening band couldn't make it out, so we played two full sets.  We haven't done that in a long time.  We played all the new favorites, but we also broke out some older ones you don't get to hear to often.  We had a blast, and everyone there did too.  Can't wait to do it again.  Take care and Rock on!!!

08-21-04- If you get a chance to play at Neptunes, do it!!  Just look for the giant propeller and turn right.  We want to thank Mark and everyone at Neptunes for having us out.  Not only do they have a killer bar, killer staff, and killer video games, they make killer food.  The drive was worth it for that hamburger.  We also need to thank The Needles for coming out and rocking with us.  We didn't know who the thrid band was gonna be, what a good surprise.  We also need to thank Last Ditch Effort for starting us off with a bang!  We also need to thank all the people we met that night, thanks for digging what we do.  We hope there were enough CD's to go around.  We can't wait to do it again.  Thanks for stopping in!!  Take care and Rock on!!!

08-19-04- Classics rocks!!  It's one of the few places that really welcomes live original music, long live Cafe Loco Wednesday nights.  With James doing a stellar job behind the boards and the bar staff being on top of things the way they are, it's one of our favorite places to play!!  We want to give them a huge thank you for having us out.  Also we need to send a huge thank you to the bands that shared the stage with us.  First of  Rise and Shine, who drove a long way to come rock the stage with us!  They are touring so check out their site to see when they'll be rocking in your town.  Then The GoNowheres rocked so hard they belw up the stage, literally.  Thanks to Mike for recording us live, we can't wiat to hear it.  Finally we need to thank all the people who came out to rock out with us!! Our friends Jack, Jeff, Johnny and Angela and anyone we forgot.  Plus all the new friends we made, we'll see all of you again soon.  Overall it was a killer night, but then again shows at Classics always rock.  Thanks for stopping in.  Hope to see you at Neptunes in North Carolina.  Take care and Rock on!!!

08-17-04- We've said it before and we'll say it again, Richmond rocks!!!  What a fun time Saturday, we got to play two sets and the first one started with our brand new song Bullet.  Everyone seemed real responsive to it and us.   We need to thank Celebrated Summer for having us up and rocking like only they can!!  Also many thanks to Wildcats for showing us a fun time, too bad we're one of the last shows.  We also want to thank that dancing chick, if you ever want to be in our video let us know!  Not to mention all the new friends who came out to check us out like the guys from I Live With Zombies and The Mcguffin, thanks for the CD's.  Last but not least we need to thank Greg for giving us a place to crash and everyone else who showed up, especially from our area.  It's nice to know that a hurricane won't stop you from rocking!!!  Make sure to check out the shows page to see your next chance to be on our DVD.  Thanks for stopping in.  Take care and Rock on!!!

08-06-04- Richmond rocks!!  We got into town around 9ish.  Thanks to mapquest we found Wildcats with no problem.  Our plan was to check out the bar, put up flyers and hit some other places to drop off CD's.  So when we get into Wildcats Unit 53 are already rocking out.  So we stayed till their set was done.  After that we walked around stapling flyers to anything we could.  This worked up our appetite so we stopped into the River City Diner.  This place was a real fifties diner with killer food and a killer staff.  We'll see them again before our show, I want a gus well done.  Then more flyering.  We worked our way to The Bottom Line and met the new onwers, that would explain why they never called us back.  Then we worked our way over to McCormacks and hung out and met a bunch of killer people.  Then back to Wildcats for more flyering.  We got home about three and all made it to work at nine.  We can't wait till we play there on the 14th.  Richmond's always a good time.  Hope we see you out there!  Thanks for stopping in.  Take care and Rock on!!!

07-25-04- Michael Bob's rocked like never before.  Wow!!!  We want to thank the lovley ladies of Bully for setting up the show and having us out.  No to mention rocking as hard as they do!!!  They weild the axe and bring the rock!!!  We also need to thank Paul for letting us get on the show at the last minute and always putting on killer shows.  Los Muertos and Falling from failure brought the heaviness while they rocked.  Then Hardsell just blew the roof off.  It was a great night to see live music.  Thanks to everyone who came out to help support all the hard working bands.  We saw a lot of familiar faces and made alot of new friends.  A very fun time!!!  Can't wait to do it again!!!!

05-31-04- Hey there's always next year...  Other than us not getting to play the Fat Dog Festival was a huge success.  Everyone really pitched in to make it run so  smooth.  Security did a killer job, paking and camping facilities were right on, and the food was plentiful and delicious.  Not to mention all the bands that came out and rocked!!  There was no shortage of great bands doing their thing on that stage.  After fighting off small bursts of rain, it looked like we were in the clear for the rest of the night.  But at a little before eleven the cops showed up because of a complaint, and we had to shut it down.  But you know the event was a great success.  We got a ton of cat and dog food for the animal assistance league,  six bands got play, and we had an excuse, like we need one, to hang out with our friends.  So it turned out to be a really cool event.  Thank you to everyone who came out and helped out and we'll see you all next year!!!

03-25-04- Classic's Rocks!!!!  A big thanks to Classic's for having us out.  They are quickly becoming the new hot spot for local bands.  Where to begin?  This was one of the most fun last minute shows we've ever had.  And then there was an audience rocked, then we took the stage and rocked a little more, and then Lehi took the stage and rocked it just a little bit more.  Killer sound, killer bands, killer crowd, killer night.  That about sums it up right?  Thanks to the usual faces for heading out, it always means alot to us (I'd list you all by name but there's starting to be a whole bunch of ya, you know who you are.)  Hope we see everyone out on the 16th of April to keep the killer times going.  Thanks for stopping in.  Take care and Rock on!!!

02-08-04- Another killer night.  I don't think we've ever seen so many poeple in The Half Shell.  Thanks to THe Half Shell for having us out, The Screws for coming from D.C. to rock, and the Unabombers for putting everything together.  Oh we also want to thank you for coming out, there were lots of yous out last night.  WE had so much fun.  The sound was killer, and if I do say so myself, we rocked the house.  The Half Shell is always a good vibe.  We'll have the pictures from last night and the night before posted soon.  We're,also goona have the new buttons and stickers on the stuff page so you can check them out.  Keep checking back for all the latest album news, show updates, and whatever else we get around to posting onthis thing.  Thanks for stopping by!  Take care and Rock on!!!

02-07-04- Tonic's Rocks!!!  We had so much fun last night.  So many people to thank for coming out.  First off we want to thank the bar and their awesome staff for treating us so well.  We rocked out all night and everyone was down.  Thanks to Travis for hanging out and tweaking the board.  Shane, Donna, Steve, and Jeff we like seeing you guys out at practice and at the shows.  We want to thank John and Emily for coming out too, happy birthday Emily.  Anyones else who we forgot it wasn't on purpose, sorry.  What a good vibe at the bar.  We played a whole bunch of brand new songs, and evryone seemed to dig it.  The only bad comment we got was that they wanted us to play longer.  It really makes us feel good that after taking a couple of months off to record, we can still do a live show that people dig.  Can't wait to play again tonight at The Half Shell.  Thanks for all the postive emails and feedback.  We'll have pictures and the setlists(it's plural cause there were two full sets) posted soon.  Thanks for stopping by!  Take care and Rock on!!!

12-16-03- What a fun show!!  Even though we found out about it like 5 hours before, it was still fun.  It was good to get in front of people after a couple of months off.  The South End Pub(The Fish Market) is always a fun place.  We want to thank Larry for having us out and Shawn for doing killer sound.  We want to especailly thank all our friends who came out on a Monday to rock out with us on such short notice!!  We can't wait to get back into the swing of things and start playing out again in the new year.  This show helped get the itch out of playing live again.  We promise the next show will have more than 5 hours notice.  Hope we'll see you out there.  Thanks for stopping by.  Take care and Rock on!!!

10-20-03- What a killer session in the studio.  We had so much fun.  It took us a little while to get warm, but once we did we scorched it.  We want to send a huge thank you to Steve Baise for being a really cool guy, having a killer studio, and for helping us out on the recording.  We really have fun over there.  But we got 5 more songs down, so if you look at the grand total we have 15 songs recorded and 5 more to go.  I don't think the album will have 20 songs on it but it never hurts to have extra songs lying around.  We nailed some killer ones this session.  We got some old favorites like Detour and Beams of light, and we nailed some newer songs that have never been recorded like the Ooh song and Opus.  If you think they rock live, wait till you hear them recorded.  The harmonies on the Ooh song are insane.  We're all harmonizing and it sounds great.  Since the recording is going along so well, we're still hoping to have the album out early in the new year.  So keep and eye out for that, and keep checking back for updates on the recordings.  Thanks for stopping in.  Take care and Rock on!!!

10-11-03- We're sad to report that only one Hoopla's is left.  The one on Northampton was sold leaving the Shore Drive location as the only one, and boy did we rock it!!  What a killer show!!  We can't thank Action Habit enough for having us out and rocking as hard as they do.  Great job guys and girl!!  We want to also thank Bill and Hoopla's for always making it a fun time.  Alfonso you made us sound killer, thanks!!  If you missed it this one was a stellar show by all.  Darrell was singing on a barstool, the crowd danced to almost every song, and I was told we played well too.  We had so much fun.  Thanks to everyone who came out to party with us.  From the regulars in the crowd to the people who saw us for the first time, we thank you for making this a blast!  Wow we just can't say enough good things about the people and the show.  So this would be a good time to change subjects.  Darrell is heading into the studio Sunday to lay down some vocals, and then we all go as band in about two weeks.  The album is really moving along quickly, we'll hope to have it out soon.  Don't forget we've also got a show coming up at Pallette's Outer Banks on the 25th with The Bottle Babies.  So far this one is going to be our last show untill the new year.  But with the way plans always change you never know.  Be sure to come on out just in case it is, it's sure to be a good one.  That's about it.  There's lots of stuff going on, but this update is already long enough.  So just check back for all the juicy details.  Take care, Rock on, and Keep in touch!!!

10-07-03- What a killer show at the fish market.  How can we have two back to back awesome shows.  The sound was killer, the crowd was awesome, and we had fun!  You can't ask for much more.  We want to thank Larry and the bar for having us out.  Also we want to thank Shawn for doing a killer job with the sound.  We also want to thank Jeff and Steve for coming out.  We really appreciate you guys coming out for the shows, even though it makes you late for work.  You guys rock!!  Oh and sorry to the dude I poped with a drum stick, it's tough to play and give you a high five.  We hope to see eveyone out at Hoopla's Shore Drive this Friday.  Take care and Rock on!!!

10-06-03- Well it's the next day.  I'm not as tired but I still think that I won't name off all the people who showed up.  Even if I named off everybody there would still be someone I missed.  So i'll just say thank you to everyone who came out.  We all really appreciated it and hope you had just as good of a time as we did.  Oh and to Pat we're real sorry about the ironing board.  So with that said we hope we see you tonight at the fish market.  Take care and Rock on!!!

10-05-03- Norfolk rocks!!!  We had such a fun time at the 22nd Street Oyster bar.  First off we want to thank Quang T for rocking and having us out.  Where to start?  There are so many people to thank for coming out and sharing the good time with.  I could just name everyone off but I'm tired.  You see it is 3:55 in the morning and I'm starting to come down from the show.  I have lots more to say but I'm tired.  So i'll just stop here and post again in the morning or afternoon.  Check back soon.  Take care and Rock on!!!

09-28-03- Where to start?  So much happened in the last 48 hours.  First off we are on a new server.  Our old hosting company didn't send us an email leting us know that our hosting needed to be renewed.  So we had to scramble to get back online.  Because of this we have lost all of our band emails.  If you have emailed us in the last 4 days, WE DID NOT GET IT!!!!  Please email us here untill we get the emails back up and running.  Well with that out of the way, let me tell you about our weekend.  Firday we were supposed to play at Va Wesleyan.  But after mix ups and miscomunications, we did not play.  We did want to thank everyone who invited us out and everyone who was out there.  Everyone was supercool and we can't wait to play Wesleyan again.  So that left us without a gig Friday.  Luckily Mike's friends were having a party that needed a band.  We were a band that needed a party.  So it worked out well.  We went on around 11, I think, and boy did it rock.  The crowd was killer.  We want to thank our friends from Past Out, Construkt, and Toque for being out there and rocking with us.  Not to mention all the new friends we made that night.  Other than me busting my finger and bleeding all over my set, it went off killer.  So the next day after the show, we roll back into Steveland.  We were just going to lay down like two songs and do a good mix on the four songs we laid down last time.  Well we must have still been stoked from the last night's show and we ended up laying down six new songs.  Not to mention remixing the four songs from last time so they sound killer.  Everyone played killer and Steve Baise worked the board like a madman.  Don't worry I'll post the newley mixed songs on the site in the next couple of days.  Hey Jr Councilors remember your log in and password so you can hear the newly mixed Eight Eyes.  Well I guess that's about it.  We've got lots of stuff coming up so check back soon.  We hope we'll see you out on October 4th at the 22nd Street Raw Bar in Norfolk.  Untill then Take Care, Rock on, and Keep in touch!!!!

08-05-03- The past two weekends have been awesome.  Last weekend we blazed up to Maryland to rock the house then we came right back the next day to rock out Bubba's.  We want to thank all the pople who came out to Whyatt's, in Fell's Point, to rock out, we hope we can come back up your way soon.  We also want to thank the Bubba's crew for rocking as hard as they do!!!  They are always so good to us.  Check out the Tour Diary page for the whole story on both shows.  Then this weekend we rocked out again, with our new friends Dreadline.  These guys rock harder than the law allows!!  Also we want to thank Paul and all the people at Pallette's Outer Banks.  We had such a fun time there and we can't wait to do it again.  Check out the Rants & Raves page for the whole scoop on that.  Hope to see you at Shane-Stock cause it's gonna rock.  Hope I didn't overwhelm anyone with the massive hyperlinks in this update.  Well check back soon cause we've lots of stuff in the works.  Take care and Rock on!!!

07-24-03- Wowsers, have we got tons of stuff going on.  Where to begin?  Well first off we've added an outdoor show.  It's still in the final stages of approval, but it looks like it will go through.  It will be on the 16th of August in Ocean View Park under the covered stage.  It's going to be free to come to.  We go on at 2 with Metropolis at three and then Concrete Sky closing it out.  It should be lots of fun.  We're also gonna have a slammed August.  We're gonna be playing on the first at Paullette's outer banks.  The first band that night will be Dreadline and they fucking rock!!!  Then we might have a show on the second,  I'll keep you posted to if it comes through.  Then the show on the fifteenth, and The Half Shell with The Can Utility.  We're also hooking up with a management company out of Richmond called Loud As Hell Entertainment. This should mean more shows in different areas and some radio air play, it should be pretty cool.  That's about all for now.  I'm still getting back in the swing of things after the computers got fried, so i'll have more updates shortly.  Take care and Rock on!!!

07-07-03- Who rocked the hell out of Gil's?  Yeah that's right, we did!!  Well we couldn't have done it without the help of Metropolis, they rocked it like it's never been rocked before!!  If you missed it we have killer video of both rocking sets!!  We need to thank Jack for that, he did an awesome job taping.  Once I get done transfering it from the camera I'll have the footage on the site.  We also want to thank Marty for working the merch booth, you rock!!!  As usual thanks to everyone who came out, despite the Fourth of July traffic and road blocks, you guys rocked harder than us!!!  We also want to thank Gil for having us out, and bugging the hell out of Darrell, and Hammer for the good sound.  Sorry to the guys who got kicked out during Metropolis' set, you guys missed two killer bands.  Hope we can do it again some time.  Take care and Rock On!!!!!

06-15-03- What a fun show Friday night.  We thought something bad would happen, being as though it was Friday the 13th, but it went off without a hitch.  Well the rain wouldn't let up, but other than that it went off without a hitch.  The sound was killer.  We want to thank Rory for doing a killer job.  It sounded good on stage and off stage.  Hope that made sense.  Anyway ...ready to fade... went on first.  They had a killer set and quite a good following.  Good job guys.  After that Last Ditch Effort were on.  What can we say about these guys, you all know how hard they rock.  They also brought the Mexican Backhoes along.  Darrell jumped onstage and gave them a hand.  It was awesome, there's a picture of that on the pictures page if you wanna check it out.  It was around mignightish when we went on, and we were ready to rock.  We had so many people jumping onstage it was killer.  Fish sang I Hate People with us, Jeff sang Suspicous Minds, and Dave and Fish got onstage and danced.  Not to mention all the people in the crowd who were dancing.  It was a fun show.  We had a killer time and we hope all of you did too.  We want to thank Bill and Hoopla's for having us out, Rory for the killer sound, Darius for coming out and writing a review, Last Ditch Effort and ...ready to fade... for rocking out, all the people who took pictures with or with out my camera and YOU.  Thanks to everyone who rocked out and we hope to see you all out at Mitty's for the battle of the bands.  Take care and Rock on!!!

06-05-03- Wow a big huge sloppy wet thank you goes out to all the people who came out and voted for us at last night's battle of the bands.  We had such a fun time.  We also wanna thank all the bands who came out and played, you guys rocked.  Since I'm thowing out the thank yous, here's some more nine volt, the jewish mother, 96x, and everyone else who helped organize the show.  We've got one more round to go, June 17th at Mitty's in Newport News, hope to see you all there.  Also on June 11th we're gonna head up to Baltimore to do the Montgomery College radio show "One Step Behind".  The show will be broadcast over the radio station's website www.eradiowmcr.com.  It's gonna be from 8-9PM.  We'll be the guest for the whole hour, and we're even gonna do an acoustic song.  It should be fun show, so be sure to check it out.  Last but not least is our show a Hoopla's.  I really don't need to say much about this one.  Us, Last Ditch Effort, and Ready to fade, you can't go wrong with that line up.  Hope to see you guys out there.  Take care and rock out!!!  Later.

06-02-03- What a fun time, Saturday's show rocked.  We wanna thank the Half Shell for having us out the Gonowheres for rocking the house, and everyone who came out even though there was a pretty nasty rain storm.  Wow I was was gonna go on and on, but that says it all.  We Rocked, the Gonowheres rocked, and you rocked for coming out to watch us rock.  Yeah that rocked.  The pictures are up if you feel like taking a look at 'em, we wanna  Mike and Tonya for taking them for us.  So that's about it.  Hope to see you at the Battle of the Bands.  Take care.  Later.

05-31-03-  Ok first off we're totally stoked about the new show.  It's at Hoopla's, a place we've wanted to play, and it's with two of our good friends, Last ditch effort and Ready to fade.  That's a win win situation.  But the only problem is the flyer.  The show is on Friday the 13th of June,  so I thought why not use a Friday the 13th movie poster as our flyer.  So I work on it for a while, making the fonts match up and look all creepy.  Then I drop it off at Kinko's.  When I pick them up, the Kinko's computer didn't recognize some of my fonts, and the flyer didn't come out right.  So now we've got 1500 funky flyers.  We'll still use them, what choice do we have, but maybe I'll post how they should look and how they do look so you can see the right one.  Anyway the show will rock so come on out, even if the flyer is a little off.  Alright well I've talked your ear off enough.  Take care, rock on, and we'll see you out there.

05-27-03-  Hey any press is good press.  I was mis-quoted a tiny bit, but who cares.  Our first spread in a music paper, if you wanna print it out and frame that's cool.  That's what we'll be doing.  It's a little tough to read so if actually wanna read what it says without squinting or hitting your head on your monitor, click it.  You will magically see a better copy.  All that aside we wanna thank Nine Volt for the write up, and we hope you guys can vote for us at their battle of the bands.  Thanks for stopping in and rock on!

--The Deadliest Article alive?--

05-15-03- Ok we are so very sorry!!!!!!!!!  We hope we didn't mess up any one's plans or mess with anyone's heads.  Ok lets start from the begining,  the show at 5150 on May 16th is cancelled.  Ok here's the story,  we booked the show about three weeks ago.  Every thing seemed fine.  I mean we put out over 500 hundred flyers.  We just treated it like any other show.  We were stoked because we really wanted to play at 5150.  We had stopped by the bar, two days ago to leave some flyers, and then we were informed that the bar was being sold, in fact it was sold.  They told us that they would stay open untill Friday, the day of the show.  Well unfortunatly, that is not the case.  Yesterday they had their final blow out party and tonight they were closed.  We were still hoping for the phone call that they said they would make for us to know for sure, but alas no call.  So we have no choice but to cancel the show.  I mean hey stuff happens, but we just want to make sure it didn't mess with any one to much.  We are so very sorry and are trying to come up with a way to make it up to you.  Feel free to let us know.  Again we are sorry and we'll make it up.  Thanks for the support, take care, and we'll see you at the next show.

05-02-03- First off I want to apologize for taking so long to write about the show, it's been a rough week.  There's lots of stuff to tell you guys about, so here we go.  The show on the 25th at Batterson's went really well.  Altough the massive rain affected turnout a little bit, the poeple who were there more than made up for it.  We again want to thank Jerimiah from WODU for hooking us with the show.  Also Leon did a killer job with the sound,  I'll get up with you about that live recording.  In web site news, we have a whole bunch of new live pictures up and a better way to view them, with even more pictures on the way.  The flyer gallery is now up to date too.  We've also been really busy booking lots of new shows.  I should have all that info posted this week.  Other than that we've got lots of stuff working so be sure to check back for all the updates.  Thanks for stopping in, take care, and we'll see you out there.  Oh one last thing, our buddies The Gonowheres are going to be playing The Norva on Sunday May 4th, as part of the Battle of the Bands, so go out and vote for 'em.  Then be sure to come out on the 31st to see both of us kick ass The Half Shell.  It will be a fun time.  Thanks again, later.
